Damaged or decayed teeth can negatively affect your ability to eat, as well as the overall health and function of your jaw and mouth. These weakened teeth often need support to give them additional strength and protection. With porcelain crowns, you can renew your confidence in the appearance of your smile. For missing teeth, these durable restorations can be used in combination with dental implants for a permanent, natural-looking solution.
If you have teeth that are decayed, chipped, or cracked, they can become very sensitive and often painful, not to mention making eating or drinking a difficult task. With porcelain crowns, these teeth are protected and strengthened. In order to custom-make these crowns to fit snugly over your existing tooth or teeth, Dr. Farber will first take a mold of the affected area, allowing her to make a cast of your teeth. The cast will be sent to the lab so your crown or crowns can be fabricated specifically for you. Our cosmetic dentist works with the Jason J. Kim Oral Design New York Center, one of the best laboratories in the country, in an effort to provide our patients with the best possible quality restorations. The laboratory will color match the material so your crowns can blend in naturally. Depending on the condition of your teeth, Dr. Farber may be able to provide you with temporary crowns to wear until the permanent crowns are completed. For out-of-town patients, Dr. Farber can make arrangements with the lab to have the crowns finished quickly, allowing for your reconstruction procedure to be completed in approximately 2-3 days. The permanent crowns are made of a strong porcelain material and are bonded to your teeth with a dental cement. Once attached, they are designed to provide support and an improved appearance that can last for years to come.
Great nice and friendly office, I’ve been very pleased with the dental work I’ve received especially the dental bridges, the office also worked well with my insurance to make my payments affordable.
